Junquillal is a relaxed little village set in the middle of a beautiful 4 km long expanse of salt and pepper colored beach. The friendly community is well organized and cares about their environment. Despite its small size there is a choice of nice restaurant and there is a supermarket. To get away from tranquility, some weekends offer fiesta and dancing in the nearby villages and also Tamarindo is 30 minute drive.
Nearby attractions: hiking and horseback riding along the beaches. Snorkeling is possible in tide pools of the Junquillal beach or at Playa Blanca. Surfing is world-class in Playa Negra or Avellanas. Playing tennis in Junquillal and golfing in Pinilla, zip lines, ATV, mountain bike…
Also you can do hiking on volcano, caving, animals watching, sport fishing, sailing, rafting…..
